How I love pretending to be a princess in feudal Japan.
Constructed in 1333, Himeji-jo is Japan’s biggest and possibly most recognised castles. I’ve been to Himeji-jo twice and I just find it really beautiful and peaceful. Looking out of the windows near the top of the castle, or jo, it is easy to imagine that I’m a princess during feudal Japan with floor-length black hair and flowing robes.
