In Love with the NARS Audacious Lipsticks

IMG_0313I was at the Changi Airport duty-free a couple of days ago on the way for a short trip to Bangkok and my flight was delayed for 2 hours (not cool, Scoot!). What that meant was damage to my pocket because I had plenty of time to kill and our duty-free is a treasure trove. I discovered, to my detriment, that they now carry brands like Jo Malone, Burberry makeup, Make Up Forever, and of course, NARS.

Having heard the raves about the NARS Audacious lipsticks, I had to give it a try and I found them to be really creamy and swatched so smoothly and are so pigmented. So after making a round and thinking about whether I should spend S$40 on a lipstick, I decided to bite the bullet and buy it. My only regret about buying it is that I know I’ll be spending more 40 dollars on more lipsticks from that range.

Swatch of NARS Audacious lipstick in Angela. Left a stain on my hand after doing this swatch, even though I had scrubbed at it.

These are smooth, long-lasting (still visible after eating lunch) hydrating (they make my dry lips look pretty luscious) and like the marketing says, there is coverage in 1 stroke. Just love it. I got the colour Angela, which is a very pretty, brightening purplish-pink. I think it’s fun without being too barbie-like. The magnetic case also makes me very happy. With 40 shades in the range, there are just too many to choose from and I know I’ll be getting more the next time I hit the the Changi Airport duty-free.

    1. DFS still is the operator for the alcohol section, and Shilla, the operator for the cosmetics and skincare section, I believe. But, I was more referring to the duty-free section of Changi in general. Nevertheless, have amended to make it less confusing, thanks for the note!
